Care & materials

What we use

Cellulose acetate

A cotton-based plastic used by the world's finest eyewear houses. Hypoallergenic, rich in color depth, and built to last decades with proper care.

CR-39 lenses

The industry gold standard for optical lenses. Lighter than glass, with superior scratch resistance and optical clarity.

Polarized coating

Eliminates horizontal glare from reflective surfaces. Essential for driving, beach days, and anywhere the light is doing too much.

Spring steel hinges

Allow the temples to flex outward without breaking — the detail that separates a well-made frame from a fragile one.

UV400 protection

Blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays up to 400 nanometers. Non-negotiable in every style we make.

How to care for your frames

Acetate is resilient, not indestructible. Store your frames in their case when you're not wearing them. Clean lenses with the cloth we include — nothing else. Keep them away from prolonged heat, particularly car dashboards and beach bags left in direct sun, which can warp even the best frames over time. If the fit shifts, any optician can adjust them in under a minute, usually at no charge.
